Three Days (or so) Late (May 28 2015)

DSC07829.JPGIt’s been so long since we were out with Sprockets. We couldn’t do our usual Winter Adventure, having to deal with business in Hawaii, so I think Sprockets was VERY happy to be on the road again and not sitting next to our house, even if it is only the usual trip north to Humboldt.

We were told that Big Dog’s house in Arcata was broken into. A friend had stopped by on the 20th and nothing was awry then, but when another friend walked by during the Kinetic Sculpture Race weekend, they found the glass in the back door broken and signs of people having gone in. Not that there was anything to steal, but… Big Dog was worried about that. At least they weren’t squatters taking over. But it seems we are heading up there a few days too late.

Smooth sailing on Highway 101, from the Central Coast to Corte Madera, north of the San Francisco Bay, to boondock in front of J and L’s home. After a dinner of L’s enchiladas and lots of great wine, we talked forever before retiring to the comfort of our home on the road (literally.)

I've been traveling since I was born -- the first big trip was before I was two, across the Pacific, from my native Japan to Los Angeles on a cargo ship. There have been many journeys since then, through many continents and cultures.
