Sprocketing Through the Redwoods (Aug 27 2014)

DSC03924.JPGWe met J and L in a small town on Costa Alegra (“Happy Coast”) in Mexico. It’s that stretch between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo. That was last November so we had much to catch up on.

After some really great coffee (thanks, you guys!) we hit the road, continuing onto Humboldt.

Since it’s Sprockets’ first time in this area, we make stops at various redwood spots – including some roadside attractions – and take the Avenue of the Giants, one of the best drives on the California Coast.

“No one’s home yet.”

“Let’s just have a drink and wait.”

I make some cocktails and we sip, enjoying the afternoon sun. So nice having a kitchen in your vehicle! In a while the wife returns and we offer her drinks while we wait for The Man to come home. Heh heh heh.

I've been traveling since I was born -- the first big trip was before I was two, across the Pacific, from my native Japan to Los Angeles on a cargo ship. There have been many journeys since then, through many continents and cultures.
